MAIN FEATURES
DT9 has brilliant and vivid colors that allow obtaining a high wide and deep color gamut. Its formulation gives the product good drying properties both on fabrics and paper; as it can easily pass through the fiber, it is the best choice to print on two-sided fabrics.
By transfer printing too, DT9 grants the best color release at standard conditions (200/210°C–35/45 sec). It has an excellent wettability and very good drying properties, so it is suitable for fast long-run productions, without the constant interruptions for cleaning procedures.
APPLICATION
DT9 is recommendable for 100% polyester fabrics or in blends with different fibers (lycra, viscose, cotton, acrylic) with a minimum percentage of 70%. It can also be used on any substrate (alu, wood, ceramic, glass, etc.) usually unsuitable for the sublimation process, after doing a pretreatment with polyester-polyamide resins. DT9 is specifically formulated for Soft-Signage and Flags even if it is suitable for sportswear, technical sports equipment (snowboard, ski, wakeboard, bike frame, etc), garments, ceramics, wood, gadgets, and decorations.
THERMO-FIXING CONDITIONS
Thermo-fixing can occur by means of a press or a calendar.
The temperature and time varies depending on the chemical-physical characteristics of the substrate being printed or onto which the print is being transferred. For transfer printing, This ink works well with lightweight to heavyweight transfer paper. For an even brighter result we recommend washing the flag or banner prior to installation.
The product is ready for use.
Keep this ink at room temperature at least 24h before use.
Set the operation conditions as follows:
- temperature range: 20-25°C
- relative humidity range: 40-60 RH %
By direct printing, use this ink on pretreated fabrics only.
Printed fabric is fixed at a calender or a flat press at a temperature of 200-210°C for 35/45 sec. When fixed, fabric is ready for use.
Washing is suggested in order to remove chemical additives used for pretreatment and the unfixed color waste.
Preliminary test is recommended in order to set the best operative parameters (T°C/t sec) and to achieve the desired result.
Read more about this product, you will find useful info and technical details about it, as theTemperature exposure and Jetting, Storage conditions, Shelf Life, and more.
Inks were optimized to jet in equipment operating at 25°C. Changes in ambient temperature and controlled temperature settings affect the viscosity of the ink and therefore the accuracy of drop formation and dot placement.Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 55°C should be avoided as long term exposure to high temperatures can induce pigment agglomeration.
These inks should be stored between 20° - 25°C (68° - 77°F). When stored properly inks have a 18 month shelf life.
DT8 Cleaning 1564082-01KG - Water-based head wiping fluid that may be used to flush the ink train. Warning: This ink has limited compatibility with solvents. Adding solvents for any extended period of time into the ink train may cause premature curing
The product is heat-sensitive.
Extensive exposure at a temperature higher than 35°C may irreversibly damage its properties.
